Radio equipment that is imported and sold in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as the equipment produced in this country, has to comply with the essential requirements according to the Law on Communications:
Any device that meets harmonised standards of the European Union shall be presumed to be in compliance with the requirements listed above.
Any device that complies with the essential requirements and has been declared in conformity with the applicable conformity assessment procedure as laid down in relevant European Directives and affixed with the CE conformity marking can be freely imported and sold in BH market.
The new Rule 46/2009 (Official Gazette BH 52/09), in force as of the 14th July 2009, regulates the way of use of radio equipment that is not subject to individual licensing by the Agency.
The equipment not listed in the Rule 46/2009, is subject of individual licensing according to the Rule on licenses in radio communications - 30/2007 (Official Gazette BH 09/08).
