The Radio Frequency Spectrum Management Section has been established to exercise the functions of the Communications Regulatory Agency in managing the radio frequency spectrum, which include:
The implementation of all obligations of the Communications Regulatory Agency as defined by the Law on Communications of Bosnia and Herzegovina and other documents relating to the field of radio communications;
The allocation, planning and coordination of the use of the radio spectrum;
The maintenance and publication of the Plan of purpose and the Plan of usage of the radio frequency band for Bosnia and Herzegovina;
The establishing and maintaining of a database of frequencies;
•The management of the radio frequency spectrum in accordance with international agreements;
The preparing of all necessary documents in the field of radio frequency spectrum management;
The monitoring of the usage of radio frequencies, the prevention of harmful interferences on the inter-entity or international level, and the development of regulations for the control of radio equipment;
The issuing of licenses and permits for all users of radio frequencies, and the technical part of the license for radio and television (Annex 3);
The identifying of cases in which the efficient use of the radio frequency spectrum can be provided only through the organization of a public competition/call for the issuance of appropriate licenses and permits;
To represents the interests of Bosnia and Herzegovina in international institutions;
Other functions such as assigned in accordance with this Law or by the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
