MARKING OF THE WORLD PRESS FREEDOM DAY
Communications Regulatory Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina (Agency) joined the annual marking of the World Press Freedom Day on May 3rd. The World Press Freedom Day is a day when the public is reminded of the imminent role the media and its workers have in the development and safeguarding of democracy.
Upon the occasion, the Director of Broadcasting, Helena Mandić stressed: „The Agency expresses its support to all the media and notably to the media whose right to practice independent and professional journalism has been denied. As in every democratic society, the aim of the BiH society is to achieve a higher level of freedom together with the higher level of responsibility of the journalist to respect the standards of journalism which will inevitably ensure a higher level of compliance with the basic human rights.“
